May 07, 2026"Recently moved to Te Kamo & returned to Soda. It has new owners & I absolutely love what they’ve done with the place. There’s a great blackboard menu & fresh cabinet food. I love how they have baking not found everywhere else. The blueberry muffins are a gift from the gods & their open steak sarnie with caramelised onion is succulent and tasty. The coffee is exceptional too, and I am fussy, so I always try that first. Pricing is reasonable. There’s lots of seating inside & out & they don’t mind dogs in the outside spots. There’s an under cover part to the side of the cafe that’s lovely on a hot day - a nice balance of outdoors & breeze without the sun overhead. The place is contemporary without being pretentious - and I’m already a fan of the staff. Can’s seem to upload my pics, so you’ll just have to go see for yourself!"

May 01, 2026"I’ve been coming here for a while now, and I have to say, the changes since the new owner took over have been incredible! It’s been a year, and the place has transformed so much. The addition of greenery really brightens up the atmosphere, making it feel fresh and inviting. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really put their heart into running the place. And last but definitely not least, their desserts are my absolute favorite! They’re perfect for me since I’m not a fan of overly sweet treats. The cheesecake and tiramisu are a must-try. Highly recommend!"
